Another Cancellation...

Shands has canceled the appointment on August 20th too - now she's scheduled for September 24th.

This is insane.

1:22 AM me: Went to Gainesville on Monday to get Ananda treated on Tuesday. It was an full day of meeting doctors and NP's in preparation. Then around 4pm, we get called into an exam room, and a financial dept. person comes in...

Tells us, they're NOT going to treat her unless we have half of the fees up front.

E----: what?????

1:23 AM me: Mel has a breakdown, and Ananda yells down the hall: "I WANT MY HAD FIXED NOW!!!"

1:24 AM Yeah, tens of thousands - so fucking unrealistic. Not even willing to give us a payment plan - and our credit is great.

1:25 AM Well, almost - some of the earlier bills have already gone to the creditors/collections, we were trying to get them reduced...

1:26 AM So, first they told us we could come back on August 20th, if we could pay. Then yesterday, they called to cancel it completely.

E----: holy shit!

1:27 AM me: Today, we begged them for a date in September - so they gave us the 24th. 6 more weeks of waiting - 6 more weeks of "IS MY DAUGHTER'S BRAIN GOING TO BLEED AGAIN?!?!?!" Uncertainty and anxiety.
