Today:
We woke early this morning, bathed/dressed/fed the kids, packed the van, and drove three hours to Shands Hospital.
While on the road, just 20 minutes from the hospital, we received a message on our cellphone - it was our insurance company telling us they canceled Ananda's surgery.
Reason being, that Shands Hospital is not in the Amerigroup network.
Both the insurance company and hospital have had her billing/insurance information for over a month, we have submitted everything they requested correctly and in due time, assured repeatedly that everything was in order - and now they have the audacity TO CALL US ON THE DAY OF THE PREOP TO CANCEL HER SURGERY.
?!?!?!?!
We spent the next several hours at the hospital trying get some answers.
Some support.
Some compassion.
But finally had to leave in despair and disgust.
Melanie and I are trying to make sense of everything - even now we're still in shock...
But we're home now.
And the kids are sleeping peacefully.
And our brilliant and beautiful daughter is with us.
And we will not give up Hope.

if I can give you any glimpse of 'hope' it is in that remembering the ground shaking at GMSF during the healing ceremony for Ananada is that she is already healed & simply does not "need" the surgery... God/Goddess has already done the 'surgery'.....at the least this is what I believe that is my opinion...
no matter what I am here & I will continually pray & thank God'dess for her healing...
It will indeed all come together...

GOD has an interesting way to heal the spirit, the mind and the body. I know she will be fine. My prayers go out for her and your family. GOD bless her with strength to heal herself in due time.

Sue the fuck out of those HMO bastards! I know anger doesn't get anyone anywhere. But get a lawyer and fight fire with fire. I can't tell you the number of times I've had friends denied service for stupid shit. The ones who hired a lawyer got better the ones who didn't got sicker.

My issues with insurance companies surfaces when I hear this, just not fair.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
You are all with me all day, everyday. We are sending so much love, light, support, strength from our family to yours.
