I just received a phone call 15 minutes ago from the GKC - the machine is still broken.
My wife will be home from work in 10 minutes. My daughter will be at the bus stop in an hour. And my mother-in-law is waiting to be picked up at the airport.
Optimistic and unaware.
And I have to tell each of them that the treatment will not be happening tomorrow.
I am in shock.
Emotionless.

What is an AVM?
An illustration depicting an arteriovenous malformation, or AVM, an abnormal collection of blood vessels. Normally, red oxygenated blood is pumped by the heart through arteries to the tissues, and blue, deoxygenated blood then passes back to the heart through the veins. I am in complete total shock about this blog, a friend of mine that lives in tokyo showed me this. I can relate to this, same thing happend to my cousin over the summer.
Hard times for sure. Have faith in what we believe in, the force of energy will always be within.

I'll definetly do whatever I can to help you guys... It may not be lots and lots at times, but man, I just can't let myself see this happening again.

Don't know how I stumbled on this. I to am a survivor of an AVM, mine was in my brain and I had surgery by spetzler almost 7 years ago this Jan. I went on to lead a very normal and happy life. I can relate to the headache though! I was in my 20's but had problems undetected as young as 6 years. I now have a family, 2 bio kids and 1 child born in Ethiopia, we are waiting for child #4 to come home from Ethiopia. I will be praying for you guys. It hits home. It really does.

I forgot to mention, my oldest son is nearly six. You guys hang tough. It was so much easier for me than my parents. IT doesn't matter if you are 6 or 26 moms and dads have to carry that heavy load. Now as a mom I can relate to what my mom had to go through. We had both of our bio kids tested at different times as they exhibited some strange symptoms. They came out clear and they say it cannot be genetic but I still wander. you know. I m a mom I have to do that.
